Android 10 beta for Galaxy S10 brings problem

Samsung has announced the beta testing of the latest version of the One UI 2.0 shell, created based on the Android 10 operating system. The test version of the firmware has already begun to spread in several regions, but as it turned out, it led to an unpleasant problem.

The fact is that users who installed the beta version of One UI 2.0 were not able to access their devices. After rebooting the smartphone, it does not accept the password, PIN, or graphic key, that is, the owner simply can not unlock his smartphone.

Users who activated the remote unlock function of the smartphone before the update can use the Samsung Find My Mobile service to delete the codes or biometric data used to unlock it. Thus, the smartphone can be unlocked, but in this case, it will be necessary to leave the device unprotected, since the system will also perceive the reset password or pattern key as incorrect.

Worse will be for those users who did not configure remote unlock. The only way to unlock your smartphone for them is to use the Samsung Smart Switch service, with which you need to reset the smartphone to factory settings and roll back the firmware version to Android 9 Pie. Of course, this operation will lead to the loss of all data stored on the device.

How to solve this problem for those users who do not want to lose data is not yet clear. Indeed, even in the case of the release of new fixed firmware, to install it you need to unlock the smartphone.

Samsung has not yet commented on the situation.
