How to Install SuperiorOS ROM Android 14 on Pixel 7A

Hey, before you do anything, make sure you back up all your stuff on your device, okay? We don’t want you to lose anything important or precious. Droidwin and its members are not responsible if something goes wrong, like a nuclear war, your alarm fails, or your device and data get messed up by following these steps. Just a friendly heads-up!

Prerequisites

1: Install Android SDK

You need to get the Android SDK Platform Tools For [Windows/Mac/Linux] Tools on your computer. This is where you’ll find the official ADB and Fastboot tools from Google, and they’re the only ones you should use. Just download them and unzip them to a folder that’s easy for you to access. That folder is called platform tools, and it’s where we’ll be working from in this guide.

2: Enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking

To continue with the process, you need to do two more things on your phone. First, you need to turn on USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking. USB Debugging lets your PC talk to your phone in ADB mode, which is needed to boot into Fastboot Mode later. OEM Unlocking lets you unlock the bootloader, which is the next step. Don’t worry, it’s not hard to do these things.

Enable USB Debugging

Here’s how you can unlock some cool features on your phone:

  1. – First, go to Settings and find About Phone. It might be under a different name depending on your phone model.
  2. – Next, tap on Build Number 7 times. You’ll see a message saying you’re now a developer.
  3. – Go back to Settings and look for System. There should be a new option called Developer Options.
  4. – Tap on Developer Options and turn on USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking. These will let you connect your phone to your computer and modify the software.

3: Unlock Bootloader on Pixel 7A

Before you proceed further, you need to enable the bootloader unlocking option on your Pixel 7A. This is a critical step that will erase all your data and may affect your warranty status. Therefore, make sure you have backed up your important files and are ready to take the risk. For the complete instructions on how to unlock the bootloader on Pixel 7A, please follow our guide.

  2. Then head over to the platform-tools folder, type in CMD in the address bar, and hit Enter. This will launch the Command Prompt.
  3. Type in the following command in the CMD window to boot your device to Fastboot Mode
    adb reboot bootloader
  4. To verify the Fastboot connection, type in the below command and you should get back the device ID.
    fastboot devices
